This workshop, centered around creative nature connection, is an invitation to celebrate the magical world of mycelium. 'Weaving the Mycelial Web' will be a day to explore slow craft techniques in the presence of community, fire, stories, embodiment practises and with mushroom based knowledge and food.

Situated in a beautiful yurt on the outskirts of Totnes, south Devon, Phill (Picture 5) will guide us through 3 short sessions of Qi Gong based movement and a deep ecology meditation. Artist and poet Jules Varnedoe (picture 3), will be sharing retellings of local myths related to weaving and the Dartmoor landscape. As well as original stories and poems, that tangle together their years of experience in applied mycology, and keen interest in craft, enchantment, and the wildness of the world around us. Expect spectral hounds, wayward spores, and words whirling like a spinning wheel. Honor will prepare a simple mushroom based lunch and host us for the day, unifying her mycelial wisdom and cooking expertise. Rose will guide us through the techniques of weaving on a small cardboard loom, providing handspun and naturally dyed yarns and a thread of fungi dyed wool with the aim to create a nature cloth or wall hanging made in reverence to the mycelial web and interconnectedness of All Life.
