A gentle doorway into the world of weaving.
The humble magic of this sacred and ancestral craft offers a sanctuary — a place to come home to your hands, to your heart, and to the quiet wisdom of thread and wood.
Whether you are taking your first steps into the Weave or have long walked this path, this little loom and needle invite a simple, joyful connection to warp and weft — to rhythm, patience, and creation.
Each kit holds a handmade Devon Oak frame loom and a Devon Oak weaving needle, lovingly shaped by my partner in his moorland workshop.
Together, they are companions for cloth-making — steady, tactile, and alive with the spirit of the land.
The loom creates a piece of cloth approximately 16cm wide and 19cm long — just right for a small wall hanging, altar cloth, or pouch.
You may choose between:
- Loom and needle only, or
- Complete kit, which includes a surprise gathering of warp and weft threads — each hand-spun and naturally dyed by me here on Dartmoor.
Your weaving tools and threads rest together in a small cotton drawstring craft bag, ready to travel with you — to hold your stories woven in wool and colour.
Please note that each element of this offering is handmade from living, organic materials. The shapes, grains, and hues will vary — each set entirely unique, carrying its own quiet character.
