Hedgerow Spindle

The Hedgerow Spindle is a Hazel branch that has been joyfully plucked from the Land around our Dartmoor home and shaped by the hands of my Partner, Jules.

It is humble magic in feral form- it strips spinning back to its bare bones and tethers you instantly to the first ancestor spinners.

We are deeply honoured to offer these simple thread making tools.

Each spindle will be accompanied with 3 different colours of English woollen rovings and a small sample of flax.

1 bundle of rovings will be naturally dyed by me. I tend to slow cook madder and other herbs on my stove to create the rusty red you see here.

But the colours and wools sent out will vary from spindle to spindle. And of course, each spindle will vary greatly from the ones you see here as each spindle is unique and embodies an entirely bespoke branch.

Your spindle and fibre will come in a cotton craft bag to hold your humble tools and threads of other inspiration.
