I am so pleased to announce my newest Weekend weaving offering. On Saturday the 1st and Sunday the 2nd of October, at the very start of the Celtic New year, Samhain and the start of Winter, 6 of us will gather to weave, spin, dye and connect to the world of Plants, Ritual and Woven-Medicine.

Our time together will centre around the aim to create your own small prayer shawl. It is a truly alchemical and ancient process witnessing and generating the transformation of raw fibre into thread and into Cloth. Textiles have the ability to hold our hearts intention, our deepest wishes and our most potent spells. This Craft offers us an anchor and a powerful tap root in these times of global challenge.

Fusing elements of Folk herbalism through plant mediation, story, potions and connection, naturally dying our own fibre, spinning on a drop spindle and weaving on a rigid heddle loom- this weekend will be a celebration of this Craft and it’s inherent connection to Nature.

Weaving Ourselves Wild will offer you a window of immersion into the magic and mystery of these Folk-Crafts. I am delighted to offer this weekend ceremony as an honouring of the teachings that these Ways have offered me, with a hope that they bring you inspiration, rejuvenation and peace in abundance.

On this weekend journey you can expect to:

- Spin and Weave your own Medicine Shawl
- Naturally dye thread and fibre using foraged and dried Plants
- Offer ritual and ceremony to this potent time in the Wheel of the year as we honour the start of Winter
- Take away a Herbal Balm made by me with plants I have grown and foraged
- Receive original stories based on the Lore of Weaving and Spinning
- Drink herbal teas and work with herbal tinctures for mediation and cloth-dreaming
- Have sharing space in an intimate small group of like-minded people
- Begin or deepen into your Spinning and Weaving Craft Journeys

The timings for our days will be between 10am-4:30pm and I will provide a light vegetarian soup for lunch, as well as tea and simple snacks throughout the day. We will be situated in a beautiful yurt space just outside of Totnes.

There is 1 helper place available at a reduced cost of £233. Please contact me directly for concession prices, payment plans and alternative exchange options.
