Ancestral Craft on Dartmoor

A Half or Full Day in the Wilds with Rose

You’re warmly invited to join me in my humble home studio on the western edge of Dartmoor for a half or full day of immersive, ancestral craft.

Together, we’ll step into the living lineage of spinning, weaving, and natural dyeing—held by the rhythms of the land, guided by the season, the weather, and your intentions for the day.

Our time will be a co-created dance between your curiosity, the ancient crafts, and the spirit of place—surrounded by wild tors, ancient oaks, and flowing rivers.

Whether you’re arriving as a complete beginner or wishing to deepen your existing practice, this is a space to connect with something older, slower, and deeply nourishing.

I’ve spent the last seven years apprenticing myself to this land and these ways, and it’s my honour to guide you through the sacred craft traditions that continue to teach me.

Words from Cadence Moffat

Summer Weaving on the Moors;

“From the first pass of the shuttle, I could feel the ancestors moving through my hands. Rose offered gentle yet clear guidance, with a wise and loving heart shining through every moment. It was truly a magical experience—and the catalyst for a life-long passion. A return to the ways of the grandmothers. I am so grateful for this treasured gift.”
