Madder,
Balm,
Cloth,
& Vessel;
A humble mixture
to offer doorways
into rooted
connection.

This is the fourth Altar cloth to arrive as part of a one-of-a-kind ritual set offering and is much smaller than the other three. ‘Rose light’ is a humble cloth and was woven using my hand spun wools, alpacas, wild silks and speciality local Dartmoor threads. It is a cloth upon which to place pieces of significance, and a space through which to offer holding to prayer, wishes, intention and meaning-making.

As part of this New Moon offering, I alchemised Madder root with wool and silk to create a bundle of thread which can be used to tie spells to trees- as a ‘clootie’ or prayer cloth.

As a Folk Herbalist, my Balm offerings are rooted in reciprocity with the Land around me. And this ‘Moon Touch’ Balm was curated using a combination of Plants such as Calendula, Rose, Rosemary, Almond, Jojoba, Coconut and Shea alongside the potency of Beeswax. This is a womb balm offered to serve as a nurturing and soothing aid for the womb and lower belly space, wherever you are at during the journey of Life.

And to hold them, and become a vessel for your findings of natural beauty, ritual objects, oracle cards and crafting materials- a humble organic cotton drawstring bag that can be embroidered, dyed and well used.

My intention with these sets is that they may serve as a gateway into greater connection with Self, Life, Soil, Slowness and Soul.
